Presented by : Le Festival de Paris / L’Olympia Symphonique
The closing concert remains the highlight of the Festival de Paris, which was originally a classical music festival. Paradoxically, for several years now, we have chosen to close each edition in a venue dedicated to pop music—an iconic venue, L’Olympia. This is how L’Olympia Symphonique was born. This year is no exception, and the renowned violinist Nemanja Radulović will conclude this edition.
Fleeing war, he arrived in France at the age of 14 from his native Serbia, along with his entire family and just a few suitcases. Today, he is one of the French artists with the greatest international influence. Tonight, he is accompanied by two of his ensembles: Double Sens, which brings together French and Serbian musicians, and Les Trilles du Diable, celebrating their twentieth anniversary. The program includes works by Bach, Khachaturian, Dvořák, Beethoven, and Monti.
He has invited violinist Patrice Fontanarosa and harpist Marielle Nordmann, who welcomed him into their family when he first arrived in France, as well as countertenor Philippe Jaroussky, with whom he regularly collaborates through his Philippe Jaroussky Academy.
In keeping with the purest tradition of L’Olympia Symphonique, we have also invited Clara Ysé, who is honoring us with her presence tonight to perform one of her signature songs, Lettre à M.
