Kim Wilde

Kim Wilde originally burst onto the music scene in 1981 with the classic ‘Kids In America’, a worldwide hit. This lead to a stunning career with over 30 million record sales spanning 15 albums and some of the most memorable hits of the 80s including, ‘Chequered Love’, ‘Cambodia’, ‘You Keep Me Hangin’ On’ (number one in the USA), ‘You Came’, ‘Never Trust A Stranger’ and ‘Four Letter Word’.

Voted Best British Female Singer at the BPI Awards in 1983 (Forerunner to the Brits), Kim also supported Michael Jackson on his ‘Bad’ tour in Europe, playing to over 2 million people over 5 months and also supported the legendary David Bowie across Europe on his 1990 Greatest Hits stadium tour.

The 90s saw Kim continue to remain in the spotlight with the albums ‘Love Moves’ and ‘Love Is’ featuring singles including ‘Love Is Holy’ and the Bee Gee’s classic ‘If I Can’t Have You’ from ‘The Singles Collection 1981-1993’.

After a break from music to get married, have children and re-discover a love for gardening, Kim returned to playing live in 2001 with various festivals and tours including Australia in 2003 before signing to EMI in Germany in 2006 and releasing the ‘Never Say Never’ album. After several chart successes with the singles from the album, Kim and her band took to the road, performing over 50 shows in 2007 including two tours and various festivals in 2008.

2009 saw another European tour followed by the ‘Come Out And Play’ album in 2010, which went top 10 in Germany and Switzerland and was followed by a sell-out European tour in 2011.

2011 also saw the release of ‘Snapshots’, Kim’s album of her favourite cover versions. This was also followed by a European tour in 2012, which also included Kim’s greatest hits.

In 2013 Kim released the beautiful and critically acclaimed, ‘Wilde Winter Songbook’ album, which featured her favourite Christmas and winter inspired songs, both cover versions and original material. With Radio Two playing ‘Hey Mister Snowman’ at Christmas, Kim played a few select Christmas shows in both the UK and Holland, which she repeated with the release of the special edition of the album the following year.

2015 and 2016 saw Kim continuing with her popular radio show on Magic FM and putting in some amazing performances at festivals across Europe, while also touring Holland twice and doing a tour of Australia in November 2016

with Howard Jones. Kim also appeared on the main stage at the Download festival with ‘Lawnmower Deth’, performing their version of ‘Kids In America’.

In 2017, Kim hit the ground running with a string of hugely successful Festival shows over the summer followed by a sell-out tour of Holland in the Autumn. In December, Kim put on her ‘Wilde Wild Xmas Show’ in Manchester, performing all her hits as well as the Xmas Single she recorded with LawnMower Deth – ‘F U Kristmas!’.

In March 2018, Kim released ‘Here Come The Aliens’, her 14th album to Worldwide acclaim. Charting in the UK album chart as well as all over the World, ‘Here Come The Aliens’ has been hailed as a stunning return to the spotlight. (Album of the week on BBC Radio 2) With the singles, ‘Pop Don’t Stop’ , ‘Kandy Krush’ and ‘Birthday’ all becoming Top 10 Radio hits in the UK as well as all over Europe (two records of the week on BBC Radio 2), Kim re- established herself as a force to be reckoned with alongside today’s artists.

Throughout April 2018 Kim embarked on her first UK Headline tour in over 30 years. The 19 shows were listed as one of the ‘must see’ events of the year by the Guardian and got rave reviews in the national press – culminating in a stunning sell-out show at London’s Koko. – (4 Star Review by The Times).

In May 2018 Kim took the ‘Here Come The Aliens’ tour to Paris and played in front of a sell-out audience once again at the beautiful La Cigale’ venue.

Summer 2018 saw Kim and the band playing various festivals all over Europe before continuing with the ‘Here Come The Aliens’ tour in October, visiting Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia, Belgium and Holland.

In August 2019, Kim released her first live album ‘Aliens Live’, which continued the trend by charting in both the UK and Europe and earning rave reviews the World over. The rest of 2019 sees Kim and her band touring Holland and Belgium with the ‘Return Of The Aliens’ show before embarking on a Christmas acoustic tour in Germany, Switzerland and the UK.

In 2020, the planned ‘Greatest Hits’ Tour was postponed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

August 2021 saw the release of Kim’s Greatest Hit’s album ‘Pop Don’t Stop – The Greatest Hits’. Charting all over Europe, this package included the new song ‘Shine On’, a duet with Boy George – which hit the number one spot in the UK Vinyl Singles chart…the video has gained over half a million views so far on YouTube – a testament to the love for this classic duet.

At the end of the summer in 2021, Kim and her band finally got back to doing live shows with a string of 7 summer festivals in the UK. The press reviews were fantastic, and Kim was ready to embark on the Greatest Hits Tour in 2022!

2022 was all about the Greatest Hits Tour. Starting in Paris before moving to Denmark and then the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium and Sweden, it covered 11 countries and approximately 60 shows running right up until the end of December 2022.

2023 was a busy year of festivals and more Greatest Hits shows… known as the Greatest Hits Part II, it’s a continuation of the 2022 tour, taking the show to the USA, Denmark again and many European and UK festivals…finally ending the year with the Wilde Winter Acoustic Tour of the UK in December.

2024 is an incredibly busy one for Kim yet again! Starting with a French Tour in February, a tour of the Netherlands and Belgium in April followed by a summer of European Tour shows in Sweden, Denmark, Slovakia, Germany, Austria and more to come…including Australia!. Christmas 2024 sees Kim taking her Wilde Winter Acoustic Tour to Switzerland and Germany….

September saw the release of the new single ‘Trail Of Destruction’, which was ‘A listed’ on BBC’s Radio 2 network and Kim also performed this live at ‘Radio 2 In The Park’ in the UK.

2025 is booking up already…. Another full UK and European Tour beckons…and of course, the release of CLOSER – Kim’s new album in January 2025.
