Halestorm is an American rock band formed in 1997 in Red Lion, Pennsylvania. The group consists of siblings Lzzy Hale (vocals, guitar) and Arejay Hale (drums), alongside guitaristJoe Hottinger and bassist Josh Smith. Known for their powerful performances and Lzzy’scommanding presence, they blend hard rock, heavy metal, and alternative styles.
They signed with Atlantic Records in 2005 and released their self-titled debut album in 2009. Their second album, The Strange Case Of… (2012), featured the Grammy-winningsingle “Love Bites (So Do I).” Their third album, Into the Wild Life (2015), debuted at numberfive on the Billboard 200. Their fourth album, Vicious (2018), debuted at number eight on the chart, becoming their second top 10 record. Their fifth album, Back from the Dead, wasreleased in 2022, with the title track and “The Steeple” both reaching number one on rock radio.
Halestorm is renowned for their relentless touring, often performing up to 250 shows annually. They have headlined major arenas and festivals worldwide, sharing stages with actslike Alice Cooper, Joan Jett, and Judas Priest. In 2019, they were named “Rock Artist of the Decade” by Loudwire. Lzzy Hale has also been recognized as the first female brand ambassador for Gibson guitars.
